No. It is a fan-run private server, not affiliated with Webzen, the company that owns MU Online. Accounts, characters and items from official servers do not carry over.
MU Online is a dark fantasy MMORPG released by Webzen in 2001, known for group hunting, excellent items and events such as Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle.
On a no-reset server, your character never goes back to level 1 to earn points. Here you climb from level 1 to 1500 once, and every level stays earned. On reset servers, players repeat the climb many times.
With resets, you drop back to a low level for bonus points and climb again, many times. Non-reset means a single climb. MU Very Hard is non-reset: points come only from levels, 5 per level for every class.
It is based on Season 6 Episode 3, with content cut back on purpose. Master Level, the Socket System, Summoner, Rage Fighter and Illusion Temple are off, to keep the few-systems feel of Season 1.
The server has not opened yet. Join the waitlist with your e-mail and we will tell you when level 1 opens. At launch, you create an account, download the Windows launcher and pick one of the five classes.
No opening date has been announced yet. The server is in its final tests, and everyone on the waitlist gets the news by e-mail.
Yes, MU Very Hard is free: creating an account, downloading and playing cost nothing. The shop sells extra space only: vault and inventory, with no effect on character power.
No. The shop sells only extra vault and inventory space: jewels, Box of Kundun and gear are not for sale. Strong items come from drops, events and player trades.
The game runs on Windows, with a launcher and automatic updates. There is no mobile version, and the browser version is not available.
The game is about 850 MB. After the first install, the launcher downloads only the files that changed in each update.
The launcher offers Portuguese, English and Spanish for the game interface. The website is in Portuguese and English. Some server messages are not yet translated into every language.
The level cap is 1500. There are no resets and no Master Level after that: 1500 is the end of the road.
About 2,800 hours of hunting, or 24 months at 4 hours a day. With two events a day, a regular player takes around 22 months; someone doing every event, around 7. These are estimates and will be tuned with real players.
Every class gets 5 points per level, including Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord, who get 7 in original MU. Since everyone makes the full climb here, that advantage was removed.
XP is not a high multiplier: the server uses its own curve, built to last over a year. Blood Castle and Devil Square pay XP × 7, which is why events weigh so much in the climb.
Yes. Solo hunting works, and in a party each member earns XP by level, with a 5% bonus per extra member. The server tops up XP so a party never earns less than hunting alone.
MU Helper exists and works up to level 1500, with a Zen cost that rises with continuous use. Offline levelling (/offlevel) is off: whoever levels is whoever plays.
There are five classic classes: Dark Wizard, Dark Knight, Fairy Elf, Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord, all free from level 1. Summoner and Rage Fighter do not exist on this server.
Dark Knight is the safest pick: it has the most life and fights on the front line. Dark Wizard trades defense for ranged area magic, and Fairy Elf suits those who like supporting the party with healing and buffs.
No. Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord are unlocked for every account from the start and begin at level 1, like the other classes.
The second class comes from Sevina the Priestess from level 150, and the third from Priest Devin from level 380. Evolution items come from the Elf Soldier quest chain and are not sold in shops.
The main ones are Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle, plus invasions such as the golden one. An event starts every 30 minutes, never two at once.
In UTC, Blood Castle opens on even hours, Devil Square on odd hours and Chaos Castle every hour at :30. The home page shows a live countdown in your local time.
Entry takes a Cloak of Invisibility, made in the Chaos Machine from a Scroll of Archangel and a Blood Bone. Those materials drop at 1% on any map.
Entry takes a Devil’s Invitation, made in the Chaos Machine from a Devil’s Eye and a Devil’s Key. Those materials drop at 1% on any map.
Entry takes an Armor of Guardsman, sold by the barmaids for 10 thousand Zen, plus a Zen fee by event level. Only the winner, alive, gets the prize.
The main source is the golden invasion: every 4 hours, for 30 minutes, golden monsters drop Box of Kundun, with a 20% chance of an excellent item. A regular monster drops one at just 0.005%.
No. Excellent items have 2 excellent options at most, from drops and the Chaos Machine alike. The roulette swaps options but never goes past that limit.
Common items and Zen are 30% each, invitation materials 1%, Box of Luck 0.1%, jewels 0.03% and excellent items 0.005%. That is why jewels and excellent items are worth so much.
It keeps the classic recipes and adds four: option roulette, locked roulette, add Luck and recycling. Recycling turns up to 32 pieces into prizes, for free.
Rena drops in Blood Castle at 1% and also comes from recycling leftovers. Ten Renas handed to the Golden Archer in Lorencia become a Box of Luck or a jewel.
Zen is the currency. NPC shops sell consumables only, so gear and jewels move between players through trades and personal stores.
Yes, every channel is PvP. There is one channel per 300-level band, plus the General channel, from 1 to 1500, where anything goes.
On the General channel, yes. On band channels, no: outside your band you return to server select seconds after entering, which keeps fights fair.
Kundun in Kalima 7, Nightmare, Erohim in Land of Trials and Selupan in Raklion. Selupan has 28.8 million health and is a guild raid: a party of 5 at level 1500 takes about an hour and a half.
Yes. We tested the server with attack robots and closed item duplication, packet teleports, out-of-range hits and Zen overflow in trades. Walking and attack speed are also watched.
Passwords are stored with BCrypt, not in plain text. Wrong attempts on login and vault also lock the account temporarily, which makes brute force harder.
The launcher checks the package digital signature and each file hash before use. Always download from muveryhard.com, and never give your password to anyone claiming to be staff.
